Joint show with Glen Eira Artists’ Society

By Jennifer Lumsden, August 7 2018

Marriott is about building connections with our community. We have been working with Glen Eira Artists’s Society and together we created a very successful Art Show with over 120 people coming through the door.

Yesterday the Marriott Musos sang with Taylor, who volunteers with the Musos, leading them.

Taylor is an exemplary of all that is terrific about volunteering. As a university student who enjoys music she wanted to volunteer and through a friend’s connection Taylor contacted Marriott and has now brought great energy to the singers. We were joined by Taylor’s parents and it was their first contact with Marriott.

One woman who came was so impressed with the art program she wanted to book her son in because the art program he currently attends is underwhelming.

It was a great way to connect with people, to open our doors to show what we do so well.

Thank you to all those who attended and for the helpers in various capacities.

Thank you to kitchen helpers and big thanks to Lisa for the huge amount of work getting an art show up.

It takes a crew of people to pull this off.

Our connection with Glen Eira Council and the Glen Eira Artists Society has been strengthened and also with the local businesses.
