Get on your bike! Improving health and wellbeing at Marriott.

Making it easier for people with disability to build their health and wellbeing is very important and we are excited to be expanding sessions at our Community Hub gym.

Through donations from our wonderful supporters and some additional funds, we purchased new equipment.

The new equipment includes a treadmill, bikes, a multi station piece for upper body strengthening and several water rowers, which are cool; you can check them out on the video. https://www.youtube.com/marriott_gym

This means more challenging and varied gym sessions, tailored to all abilities and levels of fitness and so greater chance to smash individual fitness goals.

Lomani, who is one of our disability educators and a qualified personal trainer, is excited to start two afternoon sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3pm-5pm, commencing on Wednesday 17th October.

During the session, you will enjoy a one-hour group workout followed by a discussion on healthy eating and you will learn how to make healthy snacks, the activity fee per session is $12.00.

If you are on your NDIS plan, support worker costs may be included in your plan, so check your funding before your booking is finalised.
