Enviro Management Services (EMS) creating opportunity through supported employment.

By Jennifer Lumsden, February 4 2020

Meet Beau, a crew member, who joined EMS after leaving school. Two years later Beau took a break to complete a Certificate 2 in Horticulture at Holmesglen TAFE, before returning to EMS. Here is Beau’s take on working at EMS:

The crews I commonly work on do the grounds maintenance of 300 Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) properties and at St James College, where we do brush cutting, gardening and mowing.

What I like about EMS is the variety of jobs we do, the friendly and supportive workplace and opportunity to learn new skills.

EMS supports me to build my work skills and my confidence so that I’ve come out of my shell quite a lot, and this has improved my communication at work.

In the future, I would like to work on larger sites like South East Water and learn to use the ride-on mower.
Enviro Management Services (EMS) and Marriott Industries provide quality services and value supporting people with disability in meaningful employment.
