End of an Era at Employment Options

By Jennifer Lumsden, June 28 2018

Marriott Employment Options(MEO) government contract to deliver support to people pursuing “open” employment comes to an end this week. Over the years thousands of individuals have benefited from the work of this division of Marriott Support Services.

Phil and Nomaan are examples of two young men who attended Berendale School and were subsequently supported by MEO to gain employment. Phil was thrilled to land his first job at Crown and Nomaan was successful getting several jobs and gained confidence to pursue further study.

These are just two of the many people who MEO have supported to find and keep a job.
In recent years Joanne Baronessa has led the team of Gamze, Amber, Miles and Trent with dedication and professionalism, to get the best possible outcomes for people who often struggle to get into and sustain work.

We thank them for their work and wish each of them success in their new roles and in life’s adventures.

Plans are underway for Marriott Employment Options to continue as a focus to support people to enter open employment, but in new ways within the framework of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

In appreciation

Thank you Gamze it was good working with you I still do see a lot of the people I was able to place in Coles few of them are now team leaders.
I wish you all the best in what ever you plan to do.
