Carers want more than the usual day service support between 9-3pm. NDIS funding allows for support to fit around the individual, to extend hours of support allowing for opportunity to share a meal and go to a movie or attend sporting events on the weekend with a social group.
If you work and your loved one attends Marriott Community Hub, your NDIS plan can include a support worker from 3pm-6pm to perhaps accompany them home at 6pm instead of you picking them up at 3pm.
The NDIS can shift some of the caring you do now to funded supports enabling you to do other things.
Marriott supports families and carers and the person with a disability to lead a life where they have the choice and control.
The NDIS may be confusing; our NDIS Engagement Officer can advise on supports to suit the person and family. At Marriott we have learned that our participants show us in different ways what works for them and what they need. We are here to work with you.
Examples of support
We have an NDIS Engagement Officer to work with you because we want the best outcomes and recognise that NDIS can be overwhelming.
We are small enough to know your loved one and big enough to have staff and systems in place and partnerships that expand opportunities.
For over 40 years we have been part of your local community, and we intend to stay that way.
We are exploring the choice and control that NDIS participant funding encourages and are creating exciting new opportunities.
Keep up-to-date on current news, research and events!
