Marriott supports families and carers and the person with a disability to lead a life where they have the choice and control.
We have a qualified NDIS Engagement Team to advise you on the supports needed to suit you and your whole family. At Marriott we have learned that our participants show us in different ways what works for them and what they need, and that’s why we are here to work with you.
As of December 2018 we have supported over 120 individuals and family/carers to prepare for their NDIS plans.
With increasing day to day demands, carers require more than just day service support between the hours of 9-3pm.
NDIS funding allows for support to fit around the individual, and to extend hours of support allowing for the opportunity for individuals to share a meal, go to a movie or attend sporting events on the weekend with a social group.
If you are a carer who works, and your loved one attends Marriott Community Hub, your NDIS plan can provide a support worker from 3pm-6pm to perhaps accompany them home at 6pm instead of you having to pick them up at 3pm.
The NDIS can also shift some of the caring you do to funded supports, freeing up your time and enabling you to do other important tasks.
There is no doubt that for most people, the NDIS can be quite overwhelming. That’s why we have an NDIS Engagement Team on hand to work with you individually, because we want the best outcomes for you and your loved ones.
We are small enough to get to know your loved one, but are big enough to have staff and systems in place to form partnerships that expand opportunities.
For over 40 years we have been part of your local community, and we intend to stay that way.
We are exploring the choice and control that NDIS participant funding encourages and look forward to working with you to create exciting new opportunities for both you and your family.
Keep up-to-date on current news, research and events!
