CoVid-19 update – on the eve of a very different Easter
It has been a dramatic and complex few weeks for our organisation, particularly relating to the impact of COVID 19, which has been very stressful and continues to be a major focus.
We are experiencing diminishing revenue and endeavouring to stretch every dollar, which is challenging as it is a constantly changing operating environment.
Community felt the impact of the Level 3 restrictions, and we have temporarily closed Community Service, including the Hub and Roads to Independence.
Cleaning teams – A very special and sincere thank you for the zealousness of keeping our sites cleaned, which is so essential in protecting the health and safety of us all. We are very proud of everyone’s effects to ensure we have high standards of hygiene, infection control cleaning and social distancing. The smell of disinfectant has become our new normal.
Social Enterprises – To all the team members across our social enterprises who are working so hard under difficult circumstances, thank you. It is heartening to see the positive attitude and willingness to go the extra yards with everything that comes your way.
Industries have redesigned teams to align with reduced contracts because of the impact with COVID, and we continue to monitor incoming work and hope to retain a viable level of contracts to ensure the continuation of operations. Contact [email protected]
Enviro continues to deliver on their contracts with the reshaping of teams to meet the additional safety requirements and incorporating extra infection control measures. Contact [email protected]
Support Coordination continues to deliver service on reduced hours. Remember if you don’t have support coordination in your plan you now can access the service, contact [email protected]
These are very challenging times for everyone, and we appreciate your patience and recognise the significant impact these changes have on the people we support, our employees and families.
Enjoy some sun and leisure over Easter, and stay well, stay home and stay 1.5m from others. We are hopeful of getting to the other side of this soon, and Marriott will be back stronger than ever.
