Building capacity with independent travel into the city

By Jennifer Lumsden, June 20 2018

Fashion exhibition

As part of the Beauty Workshop, we are a group of women who love fashion and attend Marriott’s Roads to Independence (RTI) program, and recently we caught the train and tram to Melbourne Museum to see a fashion exhibition called ‘You Can’t Do That!’

It was all about clothes and designers that ‘broke the mould’ in fashion. The clothing was very sparkly and beautiful. There was a green dress that looked a bit strange.

We practiced our best model walks on a fake runway! There were fashion magazines to read and video clips to watch. We had a good time, it was quite interesting!
