A new chapter begins for Trish
After 17 full and dedicated years at Marriott, Trish Vivian is moving on to new adventures.
Trish has worked in various roles in her time at Marriott, in key roles working alongside supported employees and in community programs, and most recently, as Divisional Manager of Community.
Trish navigated Community through the challenging NDIS transition and is thrilled to see new opportunities opening for people. Trish is a passionate and strong advocate for people with disabilities. Her passion for equal rights and opportunity is a driving force in all that she does.
So many wonderful memories.
Emma, who works at Marriott Industries and attends Roads to Independence (RTI) has known Trish for 16 years, since leaving school, and is sad to say goodbye. ‘I have so many wonderful memories of Trish, like going on camps and Trish supporting me while working at Industries. I will miss her very much.’
Families appreciate Trish’s support as Michael, Emma’s Dad, is quick to acknowledge, ‘Trish has been consistently caring, approachable and knowledgeable, and always ready to assist or give advice over the years. She gave Emma and me a sense of comfort that there was someone looking out for us,.’
A career highlight
There are many highlights to speak of in Trish’s career at Marriott but one that stands out is Trish working with Dean, a supported employee at Industries. Dean’s goal was to get a job in open employment. While working with Dean, Trish helped him identify and work on what he needed to focus on to transition to open employment. Through Trish, Dean connected with the Marriott Job Club, which supported Dean to secure a job with a supermarket chain. During this time, Dean obtained his licence through the Drive Train program.
So much achieved, so much given, so many great times and memories to hold onto always.
Thank you, Trish, for all you have given – your dedication and devotion are appreciated by everyone at Marriott.
Go well into your new adventures.
