A Day with Harry Potter.

By Jennifer Lumsden, November 19 2019

The Harry Potter exhibition at Bourke Street Mall was imaginative and we immersed ourselves into the whole world of Harry.

We travelled to the city from Clayton station and walked from Melbourne Central to Myers, we wanted to see the Myer Christmas window display. Wells and George thought the Christmas Gumnuts were amazing. https://www.myer.com.au/content/christmas-windows

The Harry Potter exhibition is in the basement level of Myer and when we entered we could not believe our eyes – it was full of everything Harry Potter. There was statues, magic wands, talking hats, clothes and even Harry Potter’s invisible cloak, making it tricky to see.

Anthony, George, Spiro and Wells travelled through the 9 3/4 Platform to catch the Hogwarts express.

The staff at the exhibition were dressed as Hogwarts students and they let us try out the magic wands. George played with Lord Voldemort’s wand and cast a magic spell to make everyone sneeze. The exhibition was good we took many pictures and dressed up.

While you are in the city take a look at the Christmas floor of Myers. Anthony fell in love with a huge Teddy bear, which made us all laugh. We walked to Melbourne Central and had lunch and made our way back on the train and bus.

Anthony, Kristian, Spiro, George and Wells recommend a visit to Harry Potter’s exhibition.
