Wow, what a year!!
Our Roads to Independence program is about building independence, decision making, working co-operatively with peers and improving social skills.
The Tuesday Exploring the City group is not just about having fun, although there is plenty of that, it’s about navigating around the city and experiencing new things and building social skills and experience. And writing blogs, here is their final one for 2018.
Wow what a year!!
This year has been really busy. We got to do a lot of creative things and saw a lot of art, like going to the National Gallery Victoria, the Ian Potter Gallery, McClelland Gallery, ACMI, ARTVO and more.
Throughout this year we really bonded and became the RTI family as we spent a lot of time in the community.
We have had picnics on the Yarra River, went to Mordialloc and Frankston Beach which involved a lot of talking and getting to know one another better. We have also started writing a blog which has given the opportunity for us to write and send an email for the first time.
We were very lucky to have Helen volunteer with us. She is so positive, lovely and bubbly. She joined us on many adventures through the year. Thank you so much Helen!!

With over 11 themed zones you can explore, incredible, interactive large scale and painted directly on to the walls and floors to allow visitors to immerse themselves into different scenes, locations and famous paintings. It is great fun! artvo.com.au
