Board Chair Virginia Rogers and CEO Dan Romanis have today announced that the process has commenced to recruit the next CEO for Marriott Support Services.
Chair Virginia Rogers said “The board is committed to retaining all that is so good about Marriott and this will be a high priority for the incoming CEO. It’s therefore really important that we work to ensure the transition is as smooth and as effective as we can all make it. Dan’s work over the last 6 years has greatly strengthened Marriott’s financial viability and positioning for the NDIS and we thank him for the strategic and operational leadership he has provided. We respect his wish to step back from full-time employment and wish him well in whatever he next pursues.”
In reflecting on his time working with the organisation since 2012 Dan said “It has been a privilege to work with such dedicated staff who show enormous commitment to their work. Leading Marriott in supporting people with disability to pursue their potential and to achieve genuine inclusion has been enormously satisfying and a career highlight. I know that I’m leaving an outstanding organisation which will continue to be very progressive and forward looking. Our community partnerships and connections are a major strength and provide an important pathway forward.”
While the exact timing of Dan’s departure will depend on recruitment and appointment timelines over the coming months, Dan and the board are committed to a smooth CEO handover in parallel with the challenges of the NDIS transition processes now underway.
Of his future Dan speaks of travel, continuing board directorships, some consulting and coaching and even, perhaps, semi-retirement.
